- FAQ
Omega-3 fatty acids are among the valuable fatty acids in a healthy diet and have important functions in the body.
It is Omega-3 fatty acids essential substances that are necessary for life. The body can not sufficiently produce these fatty acids themselves, so people should take them through food.
Omega-3 fatty acids are found in oil, for example linseed, walnut or rapeseed oil. Sea fish such as salmon, Atlantic herring, anchovies and mackerel also have omega 3. These foods should be on the menu once a week. Alternatively, anyone can take them through supplementssuch as Body Attack Omega-3.
Body Attack Omega-3 Softgel Capsules are made from pure fish oil and contain 18 percent EPA and 12 percent DHA. The latter may help maintain normal brain function and vision (at a daily dose of 250 milligrams). EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function at a dose of 250 milligrams.
Plant omega-3 is not considered as valuable as animal omega-3 because it does not contain, or has difficulty converting to, DHA and EPA. EPA and DHA are contained directly in fish oils, and only to a much lesser extent in beef.
