Optimum Nutrition's 100% Casein Gold protein is the most beneficial delayed release protein. If whey protein is desirable just before and just after exercise, 100% Casein Gold protein is desirable for the rest of the day.

A slowly assimilated protein will be very important for the athlete as it can provide anabolic coverage over the entire night.
