L-GLUTAMINE Ultrapure contains a high-quality L-glutamine powder with the highest purity content. The amino acid L-glutamine serves the body as an essential nutrient for the regeneration of the intestinal mucosa - the regular intake of glutamine therefore contributes to the maintenance of intestinal health. With 10 grams of freely available L-glutamine per day, our L-GLUTAMINE Ultrapure is effectively highly dosed and thus ensures an optimal supply of this important amino acid to the body.
The daily dose of L-GLUTAMINE Ultrapure provides 10 grams of pure L-glutamine and thus ensures an optimal supply of this important amino acid. Our L-GLUTAMINE Ultrapure is free from flavorings or additives and contains 100% pure L-glutamine. The amino acid is obtained by fermentation and is therefore also 100% vegan.
L-glutamine - role and function in the body
Glutamine is a proteinogenic amino acid that makes up the majority (approx. 20%) of all free amino acids in our bloodstream. Glutamine is non-essential, which means that the body can produce small amounts of this amino acid itself in the event of malnutrition with too little glutamine.
Nutritional protein, whether from protein shakes or protein-rich foods, usually also contains larger amounts of glutamine. However, the glutamine is present in bound form - the body must first break down the protein before the L-glutamine can be absorbed. In contrast, our L-GLUTAMINE Ultrapure is freely available L-glutamine, which the body can utilize directly.
The body needs L-glutamine for numerous metabolic processes. Probably the most important task of L-glutamine is the regeneration and maintenance of the intestinal mucosa. Approximately 30% of the total requirement for L-glutamine is metabolized in the intestine, making this amino acid the main nutrient for the epithelial cells of the intestine
Leaky gut syndrome: L-glutamine to support intestinal health
The intestinal mucosa is a kind of internal protective barrier to protect the body from harmful bacteria and toxins. For this purpose, the spaces between the mucosal cells are sealed by so-called 'tight junctions' proteins.
In leaky gut syndrome, the body's natural protective barrier is disrupted. The tight junctions proteins are no longer intact, resulting in gaps between the individual mucosal cells of the intestine. As a result, harmful substances can now pass through the intestinal wall and enter the bloodstream unhindered - with corresponding consequences for our health.
This is where L-glutamine comes into play. By regularly taking pure L-glutamine, a damaged intestinal mucosa can regenerate more quickly. On the other hand, L-glutamine also helps to maintain the 'tight junctions' so that the body's natural protective barrier remains intact.
More energy and vitality in everyday life thanks to L-glutamine
A healthy gut makes a significant contribution to our well-being. If our gut is unhealthy, this will sooner or later lead to a decline in our physical and mental performance. However, as this is a gradual process, we often don't notice that the gut is less and less able to perform its actual tasks.
The gut and the brain are directly connected via various pathways in the body, primarily via the vagus nerve. It is interesting to note that apparently most information (90%) is sent from the gut to the brain via this so-called 'gut-brain axis' - and not the other way around.
In this way, processes in the gut influence our emotions, thoughts and ultimately our cognitive function. In short: the key to more energy and vitality in everyday life lies in the health of our gut. With our L-GLUTAMINE Ultrapure, you can provide your body with a targeted supply of L-glutamine and thus optimally supply your gut with this important amino acid.
Recommended intake:
We recommend taking up to 10 grams of L-GLUTAMINE Ultrapure (1 level measuring spoon) daily with a liquid of your choice - preferably spread throughout the day. If you have not yet taken L-glutamine powder or L-glutamine capsules, it is a good idea to start with a small dose (e.g. 3 grams) and keep increasing the daily dose until you reach the recommended 10 grams of L-glutamine per day. Doctors and alternative practitioners sometimes recommend up to 20 grams of L-glutamine per day to support intestinal health. For doses over 10 grams per day, however, we would ask you to consult your trusted therapist at this point.
