This vegan protein shake contains a combination of different plant-based protein sources to provide a full spectrum of amino acids , both essential and non-essential. Pea and wheat proteins make up the majority, while coconut, rice, and pumpkin proteins make up a smaller portion. Pea protein is particularly rich in the essential BCAA amino acids leucine, isoleucine and valine, which have a stimulating effect on muscle regeneration, and arginine. Another property of pea protein is that it promotes satiety.
Because the vegan diet is specific and excludes animal sources of nutrients, vitamin B12 and the mineral iron , which are generally underrepresented in the vegan diet as their sources are predominantly of animal origin and are therefore deficient in vegans.
The product is also suitable for people who are looking for a substitute for milk or soy proteins that can cause allergies.
