The VirtuFit Elite TR-500i Loopband is designed for serious runners. This type of treadmill has different characteristics to those of a model used occasionally at weekends. The VirtuFit Elite TR-500i is made from high-quality materials and is suitable for intensive use. It's low-maintenance and alerts you when it's time to lubricate the tread. Lubricating oil for belt maintenance is supplied with this treadmill.

Programs and training options :

The VirtuFit Elite TR-500i Loopband features 30 programs to challenge you and diversify your workouts. These include 24 pre-programmed workouts, 3 customized programs, 2 heart rate-controlled programs and a body fat measurement program. When using a heart rate-based program, be sure to hold the hand sensors or use a wireless chest belt to measure your heart rate. In addition to the VirtuFit chest belt, the TR-500i's signal receiver is compatible with other chest belts such as those from Polar. Heart rate-based programs ask you your age and then set a heart rate target. You can adjust the lens yourself. During your workout, the program automatically adjusts incline and speed to maintain your heart rate at the set target. If you manually change the speed, the program adjusts the inclination and vice versa. To use the body fat measurement program, first enter your gender, age, height and weight. Then hold the hand-held sensors so that the TR-500i can measure your data. Your body mass index (BMI) is then displayed on the screen. You can consult the meaning of your BMI in the user manual. In addition to these programs, there's a racing option where you virtually race against an on-screen opponent. You can adjust your opponent's running speed and distance.

Speed and inclination :

VirtuFit Elite TR-500i Loopband programs automatically adjust speed and inclination, with the exception of the body fat measurement program. Speeds range from 0.8 to 20 km/h, and inclines up to 15%. These settings suit even the most enthusiastic runners for intensive training. You can also manually adjust speed and inclination using the on-screen quick keys. Speed can be fine-tuned in 0.1 km/h increments, and by holding down the button, you can increase or decrease speed more rapidly.

This VirtuFit treadmill is virtually silent at all speeds. The 3.0 hp motor achieves a maximum output of 6.0 hp, which is sufficient for smooth operation even with a heavier user on the 140 x 51 cm running surface. The Elite TR-500i can support loads of up to 150 kg, and operates perfectly even at this maximum load. The "Multi Shock Absorption" suspension system distributed over the entire running surface ensures optimum comfort in all conditions. What's more, the VirtuFit Elite TR-500i Loopband lets you listen to music and watch videos while you run. Plug your MP3 player into the built-in speakers to keep up with your sporting rhythms. The special cup holder keeps your water bottle close at hand during your workout. What's more, the TR-500i offers features to make treadmill running more enjoyable for those who don't feel comfortable on a treadmill. Ergonomic handles provide good support during exercise. The emergency stop button stops the belt immediately if you fall or if anything else happens. It is activated by a safety cord that you attach to your garment. As long as the cord is attached, the belt does not stop. If the cord becomes detached, the belt stops immediately.

Tracking your performance :

The display on this treadmill is a 7" backlit TFT color screen with 4 information windows. You can track incline, heart rate, time, distance covered, calories burned and speed. Even when you're watching a film on the TFT screen, you can track your progress in the information windows. If the 7-inch screen isn't enough for you, you can place a tablet or iPad in the TR-500i stand. Your smartphone also adapts to this support. Download the free Fitshow app onto your smartphone or tablet to get the most out of your workout. You can find Fitshow in the Apple App Store, Google Play Store or by scanning the QR code on the treadmill. Fitshow connects via Bluetooth to your treadmill and records your performance. On the Fitshow screen, you can even modify speed and inclination if you wish. Fitshow also offers an "outdoor" mode with GPS. So when the weather's nice, you can run outside and compare your results with those of your treadmill workout. What's more, Fitshow is compatible with Apple Health Kit (also known as Apple Health), allowing you to easily record your workouts in the Apple Health Kit app.
