Description Boxing Gloves Horsehair HitnMove Suvari Black 16oz
The HIT N MOVE Süvari are horse hair boxing gloves built for fighters who want the authentic punch feedback of 1970s and 1980s competition gloves. The knuckle pouch is filled with 100% genuine horse hair — a material that transmits the feel of every punch directly to the knuckles, with no synthetic layer to filter the sensation. Crafted from cowhide leather and available in 14 and 16 oz, they are suited to both heavy bag work and sparring.
The Süvari construction is based on a Mexican fight glove mold adapted for 12, 14 and 16 oz. This mold produces a compact, close-fitting glove with a flat impact surface that promotes punch precision. The DR-T Allday system, developed by HIT N MOVE in 2022, complements the horse hair with intelligent weight distribution: mass is concentrated toward the rear of the glove to accelerate the fist forward. The horse hair stays locked over the knuckles throughout the session, without migrating.
Designed in the USA and handcrafted, the Süvari are directed at speed- and precision-focused boxers. Horse hair produces a direct connection to the target: every imprecise punch is felt immediately, making them a tool for technical development. Wrapping the knuckles before each session is recommended to maintain hand protection and fully exploit the feedback sensation.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does horse hair bring compared to synthetic foam?
Horse hair transmits punch feedback directly to the knuckles with no synthetic layer to filter the sensation. Every imprecise punch — misaligned, wrong angle — is felt immediately, forcing the boxer to correct technique in real time. Synthetic foam absorbs and masks this information. The horse hair stays firm and in position over the knuckles without migrating, even after long sessions.
Are the Süvari gloves suitable for sparring?
Yes. The Süvari are sparring-ready from the first session, with no break-in period required. The horse hair offers a firmness level of 3.0 on the HIT N MOVE scale, corresponding to a true medium, full horsehair feel. They are particularly well suited to technical sparring at controlled intensity. For heavy or extended sparring, wrapping the hands is recommended to protect the knuckles.
Why are hand wraps required with horse hair gloves?
Horse hair is a firm material that transmits impact with minimal cushioning. Without wraps, the bones and tendons of the hand absorb the vibrations of repeated punches directly. HIT N MOVE recommends wrapping the knuckles properly before each use to maintain hand protection and fully exploit the feedback feel without injury risk.
What size should I choose for the Süvari gloves?
14 oz are recommended for technical sparring for fighters between 60 and 80 kg, as well as moderate bag work. 16 oz suit heavier weight categories or sessions where maximum partner protection is required in sparring.
What is the difference between the hook and loop and lace-up versions of the Süvari?
The hook and loop version allows gloves to be put on and taken off quickly and independently, making it the right choice for solo daily training. The lace-up version provides a tighter, more customised wrist fit, preferred by professional boxers in competition. Both versions share the same construction, the same horse hair and the same DR-T system.
