Description Boxing gloves Fairtex Compétition Glory Lace Limited edition
The Fairtex X Glory BGLG1 gloves are a limited edition co-developed with GLORY, the world's leading professional kickboxing organisation. They are based on the BGL6, the Fairtex lace-up competition glove used at the world's biggest kickboxing and Muay Thai events, with three technical changes introduced for the GLORY collaboration.
The padding has been fully redesigned to be lighter with weight uniformly distributed across the entire glove. This distribution allows the fighter to form a fist naturally from the moment the glove is put on, without additional muscular effort, preserving energy over the duration of the fight. The thumb area is constructed without stitching to eliminate the most common friction point in competition. The connection between the glove body and wrist uses flat stitching, which reduces thickness at the wrist and produces a cleaner finish on the ring.
One glove bears the GLORY name and logo, the other the Fairtex name and logo. The lace-up closure provides adjustable wrist support impossible to achieve with velcro, making it the standard choice in professional competition. Handcrafted in genuine leather at the Fairtex workshop in Bangkok, founded in 1958. Available in black and white, from 8 to 16 oz.

Frequently asked questions
What is GLORY Kickboxing?
GLORY is the world's largest professional kickboxing organisation, broadcast on ESPN in the United States and on international channels including Eurosport and Canal+. It organises events with the world's best professional kickboxers under K-1 rules, without clinching or knee strikes. The Fairtex BGL6 is the reference competition glove for this type of organisation, and the BGLG1 is the version co-developed directly for GLORY.
What is the difference between BGL6 and BGLG1?
The BGL6 is the standard Fairtex lace-up competition glove. The BGLG1 is a redesign of the BGL6 introduced for the GLORY collaboration with three changes: lighter padding with better-distributed weight, no stitching on the thumb, and flat stitching at the body/wrist connection. These improvements make the glove more comfortable to wear and close, and eliminate the most common friction points in intensive competition.
Why lace-up rather than velcro for competition?
Lacing allows progressive and symmetric wrist tightening that velcro cannot replicate. In professional competition, each fighter has a different wrist circumference and a precise striking position that requires a custom adjustment. Lacing is done by the cornerman in the locker room before the fight and stays fixed for the entire duration, with no risk of coming undone on impact. Organisations like GLORY require lacing for professional bouts.
How to choose between 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 oz?
In professional kickboxing competition, size is generally imposed by the organisation based on weight category. Under GLORY rules: 10 oz up to around 70 kg and 12 oz above. 8 oz is used for lighter categories in amateur competition. 14 and 16 oz suit sparring training for heavier fighters. For training outside competition, choose based on body size: 12 oz for most practitioners between 65 and 80 kg, 14-16 oz for heavier frames or sparring.
Can these gloves be used for training or only for competition?
The BGLG1 is designed for professional competition but can also be used for technical training and sparring. Its lighter padding and competition cut make it less suited to long heavy bag sessions, for which Fairtex BGV1 or BGV9 training gloves are more appropriate. For technical pad work and light sparring, the BGLG1 is fully suitable.
