Brazilian contender Caio Borralho is set to light up UFC Paris this Saturday at the Accor Arena, where he will face Nassourdine Imavov. A victory could put him next in line to challenge Khamzat Chimaev for the undisputed middleweight title.
“This is the biggest fight of my career,” Borralho said. “After seven UFC wins, it’s finally time for a number-one contender fight. I’ve wanted this matchup with Imavov for so long. Now that it’s signed, it doesn’t matter if it’s in France or anywhere else – I’m ready to show my skills.”
The middleweight division is on fire. Alongside Borralho and Imavov, Anthony “Fluffy” Hernandez and Reinier De Ridder are also in the mix, with their fight set for October 18 in Vancouver. No guarantees have been made, but Borralho knows a statement win will put him in pole position.
“Two strikers with knockout power – this fight can’t be boring. I’ll finish him in the third or fourth round,” Borralho promised. He knows that UFC matchmaking rewards excitement, and he’s confident his style will deliver just that.
Borralho pointed out his consistency: “I’ve stepped in as a backup, made weight, accepted Imavov on short notice, said yes to Costa and Whittaker too. They’ll take this into account.”

He praised Hernandez after his dominant win over Roman Dolidze: “Fluffy made him look like a beginner. RDR fades too quickly, and against Hernandez, that’s a recipe for disaster.”
UFC Paris is shaping up to be a defining night – and Borralho vs Imavov could decide the next middleweight title challenger.
