Description Boxing Headgear HitnMove Black L/XL
The HIT N MOVE® Face Saver (Vision) is a nose bar boxing headgear whose central argument is not protection — it is vision. Dr. George Char, ophthalmologist in Virginia, tested the Face Saver against the four most widely used nose bar models in the world (Mexican, Japanese, British and Canadian) across four clinically measured visual axes. Results: peripheral vision of 105° (Mexican model: 55°, Japanese: 70°, British: 72°, Canadian: 60°), superior vision at 95% (vs 58–66%), inferior vision at 90% (vs 55–63%), temporal vision at 92% (vs 56–64%). This is not a claim — it is a documented ophthalmological study. Available in Black and White, sizes S/M and L/XL.
The Triangle Zone Protection™ is the patented technology that makes those numbers possible. It is an invisible triangular frame built into the structure of the headgear, engineered to protect the nose and eyes without creating a visual barrier. Unlike standard nose bar headgear that places a thick bar directly in front of the face, the Triangle Zone Protection™ redirects impact around the nasal zone without blocking the line of sight. No glove can pass through the opening — protection is complete. FlexFit technology allows the headgear to be adjusted to the facial geometry for stable fit without excessive compression.
The Face Saver was developed by Ozhan Akcakaya in collaboration with Dr. Biyikli, after Akcakaya — both a boxer and a licensed medical professional specialised in orthopaedic therapies — identified that vision loss in standard nose bar headgear was the primary obstacle to their use in sparring. The Face Saver weighs less than 400 g (14 oz) and integrates Air Armor™ micro-padding. It is used by amateur fighters, professionals and coaches worldwide. Distributed in Switzerland exclusively by CombatCorner, official distributor of HIT N MOVE.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Triangle Zone Protection™ protect the nose without blocking vision?
The Triangle Zone Protection™ is an invisible triangular frame built into the headgear structure. It redirects impact around the nasal zone by dispersing force through the frame rather than allowing it to reach the nose. The remaining opening is calculated to maintain the visual field without allowing a glove through — the triangular geometry blocks every glove regardless of size. It is not an opaque bar placed in front of the eyes: it is an integrated structure that protects without obstructing.
Why does 105° peripheral vision matter in boxing?
Human peripheral vision spans approximately 105° on each side. Standard nose bar headgear reduces this field to 55–72° depending on the model, preventing the boxer from detecting punches coming from outer angles. The Face Saver maintains the full 105° of human peripheral vision, meaning the boxer perceives lateral punches and angle changes as quickly with the headgear on as without it. This result was clinically measured by an ophthalmologist — not theoretically calculated.
What is the difference between the Face Saver and the Air Armor Precision?
Both models share the Air Armor™ micro-padding. The Face Saver is a nose bar model: it protects the nose with the patented Triangle Zone Protection™, with ophthalmologist-validated 105° peripheral vision. The Air Armor Precision is a cheek guard model: it protects the cheekbones without a nose bar, validated at the Virginia Tech Helmet Lab. The Face Saver suits fighters who want nose protection; the Precision suits those who prefer headgear without a nose bar.
Can a glove fit through the Face Saver opening?
No. The Triangle Zone Protection™ prevents any glove from passing through the opening. The triangular geometry of the opening is calculated to maintain the visual field without allowing a glove through. HIT N MOVE confirms this on the official product page. Nose protection is complete regardless of the opponent's glove size.
How do I choose the right size for the Face Saver?
Measure head circumference with a soft tape just above the eyebrows. For the Face Saver: circumference = 55.9 cm (22") = size S/M; circumference > 55.9 cm (22") = size L/XL. FlexFit technology allows the headgear to be adjusted to facial geometry after receipt — an initial fitting session before the first sparring session is recommended.
